Improving safety and reliability in your area

Herminie Project Update March 2022

We are upgrading the natural gas lines in the Herminie area. We may need to dig in your yard, move your gas meter, disrupt traffic and/or briefly interrupt your gas service.

This will take some time, but we promise to put things back in order when we’re done. Our schedule may be impacted by weather or special events. Our work is scheduled to begin in January.

Our work affects customers along portions of 3rd Street, 4th Street, 5th Street, 6th Street, 7th Street, 8th Street, Church Street, Bank Plaza, Highland Avenue, Herminie Road, Madison Avenue, Main Street Alley, McClerge Avenue, Sewickley Avenue, Electric Lane, Herminie West Newton Road, Wilps Drive, Meadow Lane, Irwin Avenue, Library Street, and Station Street. The crews will be working Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Weekend work is also possible, and motorists can expect potential lane closures during working hours.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking proactive steps to keep our customers, employees, and contractor partners safe. If we need to enter your home or business to complete essential work, please know our employees and contractors are following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to keep all parties safe.

Any short-term mess will lead to long-term benefits for you:

    • Enhanced safety features
    • Service reliability for years to come
    • Less future maintenance work in your neighborhood
    • System support for amenities like generators, grills, pool heaters, etc.

Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about this important project.

Also, please be sure to update your contact information online at www.ColumbiaGasPA.com, or by calling our Customer Care Center at 1-888-460-4332, so that we have the most up-to-date information for you and can reach you easily with updates.
