JohnPaul Sommers — Construction of Sand Volleyball Court at Crabapple Pool
After the township performed site excavation, JohnPaul and scout helpers excavated and installed PVC drainage pipe, spread 6” stone, covered entire area with fabric, then topped and spread 200 tons of sand. They installed 160’ of 4×4 timbers, and protective boundary caps. Lastly, poles were cemented in place, net and court boundary system installed.
Zachary Casagrande — Bruno Field Sign Landscape
Cleared old, damaged split rail fence. All plants were removed and relocated to other parts of the park/township. Built versa lock wall, backfilled dirt and stone for support. Added topsoil, planted shrubs, flowers, and other perennials. Added large accent rock and river rock.
Alexander Schork — Crabapple Flag Pole area across from Large Pavilion at Crabapple Lake Park
After the township removed old, damaged tree from the flag pole area, Alexander and scout helpers removed old stone wall. Also, all plants were relocated to other parts of the park/township. They then rebuilt stone wall with supporting stones and dirt, added topsoil, new perennials, flowers, tree, and mulched. Alexander and fellow Eagle Project scouts will be raising the flag during the ceremony. A plaque will be installed this fall in remembrance of veterans.
Shane Stafford — Landscape Entrance at Pool 2013
Cleared old plants. Excavated grass area to depth of 4”. Installed landscape fabric and topsoil. Planted new accent tree, perennials, and flowers. Shane also mulched the entire area.
