Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Sewickley, County of Westmoreland and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall meet on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 7:00pm through teleconference for the purpose of reorganizing and conducting general business.  Dial-in instructions are provided through the Township Office and website:

Public notice is also hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Sewickley, County of Westmoreland and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, shall hold its regular meetings for the calendar year 2021 at 7:00pm on the following dates: January 20th, February 17th, March 17th, April 21st, May 19th, June 16th, July 21st, August 18th, September 15th, October 20th, November 17th, and December 15th.

January and February meetings will be held through teleconference.  Dial-in instructions are provided through the Township Office and website:

The Sewickley Township Planning Commission meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the Sewickley Township Municipal Building, 2288 Mars Hill Road, Irwin, PA 15642 at 7:30pm.

Public notice is hereby given that the Sewickley Township Planning Commission shall meet on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 7:30pm in the Sewickley Township Municipal Building, 2288 Mars Hill Road, Irwin, PA  15642 for the purpose of reorganizing and conducting general business.

Public notice is also hereby given that the Sewickley Township Planning Commission shall hold its regular meetings for the calendar year 2021 at 7:30pm on the following dates:  February 9th, March 9th, April 13th, May 11th, June 8th, July 13th, August 10th, September 14th, October 12th, November 9th, and December 14th.  Said meetings shall be held at the Sewickley Township Municipal Building, 2288 Mars Hill Road, Irwin, PA  15642.

Public notice is also hereby given that the Sewickley Township Zoning Board shall hold its regular meetings for the calendar year 2021 at 7:00pm on the following dates:  February 24th, March 24th, April 28th, May 26th, June 23rd, July 28th, August 25th, September 22nd, October 27th, November 18th, and December 16th.  Said meetings shall be held at the Sewickley Township Municipal Building, 2288 Mars Hill Road, Irwin, PA  15642.

Crime Watch

Crime Watch meets the 3rd Thursday of every month.

Working together with the Pennsylvania State Police, The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney’s office, the members of the Sewickley Township Crime Watch program have provided programs and services to the community.

These programs include:


Prevention Programs for schools and community organizations

In-service training for teachers and emergency services

Monthly Newsletters

National Night-Out

The Citizen’s Police Academy. The Academy is open to township residents at least 21 years of age

Sewickley Area Lions Club

The Lions meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month in the Sewickley Area Library.

***The Sewickley Area Lions Club was chartered on April 22, 1948***

The Lions’ programs include:

The Lions Club is dedicated to the common cause of service to others.

Since it was formed, the Lions opened Crabapple Park in 1956 and then Crabapple Pool in 1961.

In 2008, a donation was made to the Sewickley Area Library Trust.

The Lions also support the youth in the area by promoting athletics and are responsible for sending students to the annual district youth seminar/talent show.

The Lions Club sells brooms and collects used eyeglasses at local businesses.

We are always looking for new members that are community oriented and looking to make a difference.
